Everything you need to know before you get Microblading

Hi! Welcome back to my blog!

I am back to share some basic instructions as well as the healing process and what to expect with permanent makeup brow services. This is going to be super helpful and informative! Make sure to save this page for later! Whenever you are ready to finally get your brows done! Let’s dive in! PMU Brows is often a two part process. Your second part is done 5-6 weeks later to ensure the pigment and depth is correct. In addition to make sure they are balanced and healed correctly. All my procedures include a aftercare kit.

Basic Post Care Instructions and Healing Process

Make sure you keep them dry for 7-10 days (10 days if you can!) while they heal. This is very important because you want the pigment to heal. Although you want to keep them dry you still need to clean them. You can use Bactine, sterile or bottle water to clean the area. A aftercare ointment will be provided in your aftercare kit.

  • Do not pick or peel any of the flakiness. Let everything shed naturally. This will ensure great healed results.

  • Wait 10 days before wearing any eyebrow makeup. After that you may go back to your regular cleansing

Healing Process

Day 1: Immediately after procedure that are going to look fresh and perfect

Day 2-4: The brows are going to be the darkest, however they will no heal like that. It has to crust a little and shed. Brow wills be lighter and smaller when it heals. So don’t worry if it looks too aggressive at first. It will heal 20-40% lighter. Its a part of the healing process

Day 5-7: Brows should begin to start flaking and looking patchy, again all of this is normal! It may look like a crust but refrain from itching or peel it off. Be gentle with cleansing and whatever sheds will do so naturally. This might be the hardest part. Stay Calm and Trust the process.

Day 8-10: At this point you may be wondering “where the heck did my brows go?!” During this phase the scabs will probably be all flaked off or flaking off on their own by this point and you’ll start to see the light at the end of the healing tunnel. You may feel like they have disappeared from day 1-4. Don’t panic the skin is healing and shedding. The pigment will re-emerge.

Day 14-21: The healing process is almost complete! The color and definition should return at this point. The scheduled touch up will ensure they are perfect and balance.
